Things to Note
Thank you for choosing to stay with us. Since we are a small establishment in a rural area, we ask you to kindly keep a note of the following points to ensure that your stay with us is as comfortable as possible.
Dining/Services
We do not provide room service. All meals will be served in the dining area, or at a few designated spots within the farmstay. Kindly refrain from consuming any food items in your room, as this will attract insects from the surrounding forest.
Kindly let us know your meal preference in advance. (Please Note: If you wish to order Newari Meal/s, we will need 48 hours of prior notice.)
Kindly adhere to the meal timings. Breakfast - 8:30-9:30 am
Lunch - 1:00-2:00 pm
Dinner - 7:00-8:00 pm
Kitchen is closed by 8:30 and any requests for meals after that time will not be entertained.
All meals are fixed and are thoughtfully prepared with our guests' preferences in mind. Any special/additional requests during meal service will incur additional charges.
We do not provide laundry service.
All activities/services require booking in advance and may have extra charges applicable (such as bonfire, barbeques, etc). Kindly check with the management while booking for additional details.
Electricity/Network
Electricity in the village can get erratic and power cuts occur during bad weather.
The geysers that provide hot running water work well when there is electricity. However, in case of none, we shall provide hot water buckets for bathing.
Kindly switch off the geyser/heater/fan/lights if not in use.
The property does not have a land line. However, it receives all phone networks.
Jio 4G data works the best within the farmstay. Other network providers are erratic.
Sanitation/Fire Safety
Smoking in the rooms is strictly prohibited. The cottages are primarily made of bamboo and wood, and therefore are highly flammable. Kindly use the ashtrays provided in the balconies and outdoor seating areas for smoking.
Please do not bring plastic bags/water bottles into the property.
Please use the dustbins placed in your rooms, bathrooms and at designated spots in the farmstay for waste disposal.
Linen & Housekeeping
Because of our remote location, we don’t have access to large-scale laundry services or quick linen replacements. So we request a little extra care with towels and bed linen.
If something gets damaged beyond normal use (like stains that won’t come out or tears), we may need to charge for replacement.
Bed linen is treated as a set, so if one piece is damaged, the full set may need replacing. We trust you’ll treat it as you would your own at home.
About the Space (and Little Ones)
Glen Leu is an open, lived-in farm space, not a conventional hotel. Some rooms have balconies with simple wooden railings, and there are natural elements all around. If you’re travelling with children, we ask that they’re supervised at all times. The space is beautiful but not childproof, so a little extra attention goes a long way.
Safety & Responsibility
We’ve created Glen Leu to be a peaceful, safe place, but as with any natural setting, there are elements beyond our control.
By staying with us, you’re acknowledging that you’re responsible for your own safety and that of your group (including children and pets), and that you’re comfortable being in a farm environment.
Looking Out for Each Other
We trust our guests to be mindful of the space, the people around them, and of the experience we’re trying to create here.
If any damage, loss, or issue arises due to actions by you or anyone in your group (including children or pets), we ask that you take responsibility for making it right. This may include covering repair, replacement, or related costs. We’re always happy to talk things through if something unexpected happens.
Substances
To keep the environment calm and aligned with the spirit of the farm, we don’t allow illegal substances on the property. If this guideline isn’t followed, we may have to ask you to leave without a refund. We hope it never comes to that.
A Note on Safety & Liability
While we do our best to maintain a safe and welcoming environment, Glen Leu Farmstay and its team cannot take responsibility for accidents, injuries, illness, loss, or damage that may occur during your stay.
By confirming your booking, you agree to release and hold harmless Glen Leu Farmstay, its owners and staff from liability, and to indemnify them against any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your stay or the actions of your group.
If you’ve read this and it all feels reasonable, you’ll likely feel right at home here! And if you have any questions at all, just ask - we’re always happy to help.
